FMU holds logo contest for Research and Exhibition Day

FMU holds logo contest for Research and Exhibition Day

FMU’s annual Research and Exhibition Day is reaching out to students with a contest for the best logo to represent this year’s event.

The contest is open to all students at FMU, regardless of year or major. The deadline for logo submissions is Jan. 15, 2016. The selected logo will be displayed on the signs advertising Research and Exhibition Day. The student that designs the winning logo will be given a $50 prize.

The guidelines for submission include: conveying the interdisciplinary essence that the event has; no bad mannered or inappropriate imagery is allowed; and logos submitted to the committee will become the property of FMU.

After the deadline, the Research and Exhibition Day planning committee will vote on the submitted logos. The logo with the most votes will be the winner.

All logos should be submitted to Dr. David Malakauskas at dmalakauskas@fmarion.edu.

Research and Exhibition Day is an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students to present research projects that they have worked on at FMU. The event is open to research from all disciplines and allows students to display their work on a university-wide scale. All forms of presentations are accepted, as well as projects in all stages. Projects that have only completed the theory portion of their presentations are welcome as well. The event is designed to help students get familiar with presenting their work to individuals that are not necessarily in their field.

For additional information about the logo contest or about presenting research at the event contact Dr. Shayna Wrighten at swrighten@fmarion.edu.
