FMU conference searching for program leaders

Organizers of the 2012 Student Leadership Conference:  The Blueprint for Success have announced that they are seeking interested faculty, staff and student organizations to lead inform-ative sessions at the event.

“Students attending the event need to be educated on leadership skills, intereview techniques and general college success,” Conference Director and junior Mass Communication major Alyssa Hardy said.

Hardy also said that leading a session will be beneficial to anyone who chooses to do so.

“Attendance and participation in the conference are beneficial to both students and session leaders,” Hardy said. “The day-long event is a wonderful way to be introduced to all of the various opportunities offered by FMU, as well as providing attendees with vital skills necessary for a successful college career and beyond.”

Leadership FMU and the Student Government Association are sponsoring the event, which will take place Saturday, March 24.

This will be the third annual leadership conference. FMU graduate Amanda Morales came up with and executed the idea for the conference.

Anyone interested in leading a session may e-mail Hardy at AlyssaHardy92 @aol.com.
