FMU will celebrate Homecoming 2012, Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 16-18.
The events will kick off Thursday with a wine and cheese reception for School of Education alumni at 6 p.m. at the FMU Performing Arts Center (PAC) in downtown Florence.
As part of this year’s Homecoming festivities, the School of Business will hold an alumni leadership breakfast at 7:45 a.m. at the PAC, Friday, Feb. 17. At this event, business alums have an opportunity to network with colleagues old and new.
On Friday night, festivities continue with the Patriots on Fire Bonfire and Pep Rally in the parking lot of the Griffin Athletic Complex. An FMU Alumni Reception will be held at Red Bone Alley Restaurant at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with the alumni basketball games in the University Center gym.
A Homecoming parade through campus is scheduled for 11 a.m. PatriotFest will begin at 11:30 a.m. on the lawn in front of the University Center featuring live music and entertainment.
A basketball game between the Patriot Women and Flagler University will begin at 1:30 p.m. The Men’s Basketball Game against Flagler will follow at 3:30 p.m. Admission to the games is free. A Hall of Fame induction will be held following the games.
The FMU Athletic Department will sponsor a silent auction from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the University Center.
All proceeds from the auction will support Patriot athletics. Also on Saturday, the Patriot Bookstore in the University Center will offer special Homecoming sales.
