Bulldogs bite Pats in NCAA tournament

The FMU women’s soccer team hosted the South Carolina State University Bulldogs as part of the 2015 NCAA Division One Independent Schools Women’s Soccer tournament on Oct. 30.

The Bulldogs pulled off the win and moved on to face Delaware State in the championship. FMU lost the contest 3-1 and fell to 3-15-0 overall.

Before the match kicked off, the Patriots honored six seniors for their senior day celebration. Senior defender Kylie Allen was the only FMU player to scratch her name in the scorebook, scoring a goal in the 89th minute after the Bulldogs were unable to clear the ball from their penalty box.

Her senior teammate Shauna Griffin joined her to earn the senior night goal.
