For the period September 1, 2011 through September 21, 2011, the following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by Campus Police:
September 1
A report of Simple Assault and Trespass of Real Property at the Volleyball court near the Grille. An Ex-boyfriend/girlfriend became involved in a physical altercation. One non-student jailed and one student referred to Student Affairs.
September 2
A report of Harassment at the Forest Villas. The victim is receiving unsolicited calls.
September 3
A report of Personal Property Damage in Parking Lot “C”. The victim reports their vehicle damaged while it was parked.
September 5
A report of Theft from a Building in Snow Island Hall. The victim reports jewelry missing.
A report of Possession of Marijuana in Belle Isle Hall. One non-student jailed.
September 6
A report of Attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle at the Education/Foundation Building parking lot. The victim reports their passenger window broken out however nothing was missing from the vehicle.
September 7
A report of Possession of Another’s Drivers License on The Cottage Road. One student issued a State Ticket and referred to Student Affairs.
September 8
A report of Vandalism of State Property, the walkway to the Villas from Parking Lot “H”. Unknown person(s) spray painted sayings on the walkway.
September 9
A report of Missing FMU Parking Decal in Parking Lot “A”. The victim reports their decal missing from their vehicle.
September 11
A report of Driving under Suspension, Outstanding Arrest Warrant (off campus) and Trespass Notice Issued on Patriot Drive. Five non-students issued Trespass Notices and one of the five jailed.
A report of Unauthorized Entry/Use of FMU Facility at the Outdoor Pool. Two subjects jumped fence to swim. One student referred to Student Affairs and one non-student issued a Trespass Notice for the day.
September 12
A report of a Fire Response at the Ervin Dining Hall. There was no fire, smoke from the grill set off a smoke detector.
A report of Violation of Written FMU Policy/Regulation at various campus locations. The Subject failed to return property to a group. One student referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Theft from a Building at Founders Hall. The victim reports a name plate removed from their door.
A report of Simple Assault in Swamp Fox Hall. Roommates became involved in a physical altercation. Two students referred to Student Affairs.
September 13
A report of Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories in Parking Lot “G”. The victim reports stereo components stolen from their unsecure vehicle.
September 16
A report of Violation of FMU Policy/Regulation-Cigarette Smoking in the Village Apartments. One student referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Conduct that Threatens Health/Safety – a Verbal Dispute in the Forest Villas. Two students referred to Student Affairs.
September 17
A report of Simple Assault in the Village Apartments. A physical altercation between a boyfriend & girlfriend. One non-student issued a Trespass Notice and one student referred to Student Affairs.
September 18
A report of Personal Property Damage on The Cottage Road. The victim reports their vehicle damaged while parked.
September 19
A report of Personal Property Damage in Parking Lot “H”. The victim reports their windshield chipped while parked.
September 20
A report of Trespass of Real Property and Noise Violation in the Forest Villas. One non-student jailed, a second non-student issued a Trespass Notice. Two students issued State Tickets for noise and referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Obscene/Harassing Telephone Calls at various locations on campus. The victim reports receiving unsolicited calls.
A report of Trespass of Real Property in the Village Apartments. One non-student jailed.
A report of Conduct that Threatens Health/Safety of Persons at an off campus location involving FMU students. Florence Police forwarded two incident reports from their department which were referred to Student Affairs.
Campus Police officers responded to Seven (07) requests for Medical Assistance during this period.
