Crime Report 2-21-13

We ask that anyone having information about any crimes committed on campus call 661-1109. You don’t need to tell us who you are; just tell us what you know. You can provide your information anonymously through our “Silent Witness” page at on the campus police web site (http://www.fmarion.edu/about/police ). In the past, “Silent Witness” reports have provided leads on cases under investigation. Thanks to those community members concerned with keeping FMU safe and secure. Please be our eyes and ears out there…. We need you to help us to help you.
For the period 02-21-13 through 03-06-13 the following incidents were reported to and/or investigated by Campus Police:
02-21-13
A report involving a Verbal Confrontation between two motorists regarding driver behavior.Referred to Facilities Management and Student Affairs.
A report involving Harassing Phone Calls that originally occurred off campus. The subject was contacted and informed that the calls were no longer welcome.
02-24-13
A report of Trespass after Notice on Patriot Drive. A non-student who had been previously trespassed from campus was discovered driving in the early morning hours. One non-student arrested and taken to jail.
An Information Only report in the Forest Villas regarding an unidentified male attempting to contact a student. Turned out the male was from a government agency and was approved to be on campus.

A report of Trespass after Notice in Swamp Fox Hall. A non-student was discovered again staying with a student in the Housing area. One non-student arrested and taken to jail. One student referred to Student Affairs.
A report concerning Failure to Comply with the Directions of a University Official in Founders Hall. One student referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Guest Visitation Violation at Gallington Apartment. A non-student guest made inappropriate comments to a student. The non-student was issued a trespass notice and the student sponsor referred to Student Affairs.

A report of Guest Visitation Violation at Anderson Apartments. A student had a male student staying in the apartment in violation of Housing Policy. The students were referred to Student Affairs.
A report of Alleged Threatening Comments reported from Ervin Apartment. The Victim claims to have received word of a threatening text message that may have been directing toward them. Student referred to Student Affairs.
03-01-13
A report of Conduct that Threatens Health and Safety at Founders Hall. A student reported unwelcome attention from another student. One student referred to Student Affairs.
03-02-13
Areport of Service of an Off Campus Bench Warrant to a Non-student. Officers came upon a non-student in the Housing Area. A NCIC check revealed the non-student had an outstanding warrant from Richland County. The non-student was jailed pending action by Richland County.
A report of Theft from a Building in Kidwell Apartment.A student reported a computer cable missing.

A report of Alleged Marijuana Use in Watson Hall. The aroma of drugs led officers to several students. The students were referred to Student Affairs.
03-05-13
A report of Vandalism to State Property in Rogers Library. An unknown individual tore undercoating from a desk.
Campus Police officers responded to two (2) requests for Medical Assistance during this period.
